Forbidden Library is your cozy corner for all things romantic literature in Calgary. Here, we celebrate the magic of storytelling and the connections it creates among readers. Our founder, who transitioned from running a barber shop for ten years to opening this unique bookstore, realized her passion for romance novels after receiving a heartfelt suggestion from a friend.
In 2020, she dove headfirst into the world of romance literature, drawn in by its captivating stories and characters. With the support of her husband and friends, she transformed her love for books into a thriving community hub. The Forbidden Library is not just a store, but a gathering place where readers can come together to share their love for romance stories and participate in various engaging events.
