Parkland Institute is a non-partisan research center based in Edmonton, Alberta, dedicated to exploring the economic, social, cultural, and political issues affecting Canadians. Situated within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, we engage in thorough research to inform public discussion and raise awareness around vital topics. Our work seeks to strengthen democratic engagement in an increasingly complex political climate.
Our mission is driven by the need to examine the changes occurring within Alberta's political and economic landscape. We follow a multidisciplinary approach rooted in Canadian political economy, addressing power dynamics, social equality, and the impact of public policy. Through our rigorous scholarship and community engagement, we aim to promote informed dialogue on pressing challenges faced by Albertans and support the vision for a more equitable future.
