Unity Smart Security

We had a gentleman knock on our door offering security services. My husband had been interested in protection since our dog recently passed away, and he wasn't really ready to get a new pup. It actually almost felt like this fellow was brought to us at the perfect timing. At first we were reluctant, as most I am sure are when someone unknown approaches your home but we stood for about 5 minutes standing outside just talking and my husband came to the door and immediately invited him in... Really glad we did invite him in...

We ended up getting the system. He was verry insistent on us getting fire and carbon monoxide protection and although we mostly were interested in cameras, the way he explained it made sense. Glad we listened, because we got close to 15% off of our home insurance costs just for doing this, it worked out to be over $230 per year in savings for that.

The installation was very professional, very clean. All of the equipment works far better than some of the equipment I have seen at my friends and families houses, so all in all I am glad we made the right choice.

They are locally from Alberta, and they are really obviously caring as our rep checked up on us quite literally every other day or every 3rd day for about 2 weeks.

So far everything is operating perfectly, we haven't had any issues so I can't speak on that, but it did state we had extended and full warranty on everything.

If I were to advise anyone to use any security company (in Alberta anyway) I would without a doubt recommend Unity.

I am sorry I don't remember their names, but my husband did most of this. I just have seen him feel so happy and excited when he uses the cameras I just felt the need to leave a review. He loves it and when he is happy, it makes me happy.

I actually found Unity through a neighbouring home. I just moved to the Chestermere area, and one of my neighbours had a Unity Lawn Sign directly across from my home. I noticed a few signs in the area, so I started to research the companies.

First thing I noticed, Unity is solely and exclusively Canadian. Their monitoring, their call centre, their employees are all Canadian. I love that personally.

I have had a few systems in the past, both of which worked fine but once David installed our Unity system, I couldn't even believe how any other companies were charging as much they did for a service that I can't even say is half as good as what we got from Unity.

Our sales representative was Jacob, he was very professional, extremely knowledgeable and he was a very pleasant individual to deal with. By the sounds of it, he's been doing this for a long time.

One of the main things I noticed was integrity. There was absolutely no pushiness. I had spoken to Vivint and Telus, both if which just pressed and pressed me, but didn't really go through in depth the things that Jacob did. It was easy to trust him and naturally we love supporting local as well.

The technician, David.... He was incredibly good at his job. I had a few discrepancies about placement of a couple cameras, and he even took the time to set them up the way I asked, and even took them down to put them up the way he recommended. He was definitely right about the placement and he was very very thorough not to mention very clean with his install. Not messiness, looks as professional as it could be.

The system itself is very simple to use, he was avid about ensuring we knew what to do with the system and how to operate it and took the time to go through every detail...

We did have one malfunction in a door sensors, it wasn't even 24 hours and they were back out, replaced it and didn't even charge a cent.

Frankly, I would never use another provider again.
