Hours: 35-44 hours per week
Wages: $50.83 - $52.00 per hour
Overtime: May Be Required
Vacation Time: 10%
Benefits: As per collective agreement

Job Responsibilities:

Masonry Work: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, and other masonry units.
Installation: Lay bricks, stone, or similar materials for veneer facing; construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
Construction: Build patios, garden walls, and decorative installations; lay bricks for residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read sketches and blueprints to determine material needs.
Cutting & Trimming: Cut and trim bricks and blocks to specification using hand and power tools.
Specialized Tasks: Lay radial bricks for industrial chimneys; measure work areas and set out initial rows of bricks and damp courses.
Mortar Mixing: Mix mortar manually or with a mechanical mixer.
Assistance: May assist other workers and help erect scaffolding.
Job Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in masonry.
Tools/Equipment: Must own tools and equipment.
Safety Gear: Steel-toed safety boots required.
Physical Demands: Handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Work Environment: Work may be at heights, in confined spaces, noisy, and dusty.
Skills: Strong judgement, accuracy, team player, and reliability.
