The Town of Paradise is hiring for the position of Rink Attendant / Labourer, a role that combines custodial duties with hands-on maintenance and operational tasks at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with a passion for facility operations and a desire to contribute to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance: Perform custodial and minor maintenance tasks to ensure the Double Ice Complex remains in top condition.
Operational Support: Assist with ice-making, Zamboni operation, and general upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds.
Versatile Labour: Engage in various unskilled to semi-skilled manual labour activities across different trades as required by the Town.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Driver's Abstract required).
Satisfactory Code of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.
First Aid Certificate and WHMIS training.
Completion of the Arena Operators Course (Recreation NL).
Experience in facility maintenance and ice operations.
What We Offer:
Unionized Position: Competitive salary range of $46,936.34 - $58,670.42 as per the Collective Agreement.
Flexible Schedule: Workdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays within the facility's hours of operation.
