Position Highlights:

Role: General Practitioner/Family Physician
Location: College Healthchoice Centre, 102-815 College Street, Toronto, ON M6G 1C9
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Compensation: Fee-for-Service basis
Hours: 36-40 hours per week (average of 38 hours), including office hours and patient chart completion

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Examine patients, take detailed histories, and provide comprehensive assessments.
Diagnostic Procedures: Order and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
Medication & Treatment: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, and perform routine surgeries.
Emergency & Acute Care: Offer emergency care and acute management for a range of health issues.
Preventive Care: Administer vaccinations and provide preventive treatments to maintain health.
Counseling & Support: Offer guidance and support on health and lifestyle issues to patients and their families.
Patient Advocacy: Coordinate and manage primary patient care, ensuring continuous and high-quality care.
Reporting: Report births, deaths, and diseases to relevant authorities.
Other Duties: Perform any additional tasks specific to the role and employer.
Requirements:

Education: MBChB (Doctor of Medicine) from an accredited medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (with a Canada Note).
Certifications: Eligible for certification by the College of Family Practitioners of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Experience: Previous experience as a General Practitioner.
Designation: Occupational designation of Medical Doctor (MD) or MBChB.
