I have been actively raising an issue with the politicians and members of the media. I have a problem with one of my book publishers retrieving book sales data from Chapters Indigo & Amazon and this led me to write a blog posting @ https://angiesdiary.com/economy/irs-number-to-get-paid-for-book-sales/ and I also expanded #7 areas of concern at https://authorpaulcollins.substack.com/p/you-need-an-irs-number-to-get-paid?utm_source=profile&utm_medium=reader2 that got the official response of former Finance Minister Bill Morneau in 2018. When Bill Morneau left politics in 2019, this file was passed onto Chrystia Freeland. Fast forward to around November 2023(?) where I even got an official response from the Ontario Ministry of Labor . It was passed onto Sarah Hahn, Manager of the Creative Cluster Policy Unit. When I reached to all levels of government again, (including Nathaniel Erskine Smith MP, Jamie West, the NDP critic of Ministry of Labor, and my MPP Mary-Margaret McMahon--this all led to me getting a rejection letter from the Ministry of Labor and in the end everyone referred me to my MP Erskine Smith and me meeting Chantal Macabutas, his Constituency Assistant who gave me a form from the CRA to sign. But I refused to go through with it because the document from the CRA consent form didn't apply to me. FYI, I was also interviewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxLLB6VAURo&t=189s, I know every politician wants this problem to simply go away but it has to be raised. Politics is not about certain people having a steady job and a huge pension, you represent people and your job is to raise issues-- please raise this issue. It won't go away. Hope all is well. Thanks for reading this far and all the best.
